Derra and Brent were married on Thanks Giving day. What an awesome day to bring friends and family together for your wedding - after all Thanks Giving is all about getting together with the people closest to you. The ceremony and reception were hosted at The Ranche Restaurant. The staff at The Ranche, lead by Maitre d' Donal Hoey, are exceptional. We had a very quick turn around between ceremony and reception while guests enjoyed cocktails on the veranda. It was a gorgeous fall day, could not have asked for better weather.
The black and white theme was pulled together beautifully by gorgeous flower arrangements by Rhonda at Creative Edge Flowers. The wedding cake was a beautiful three tier cake made by Rose at Sen Cakes with sugared gerber daisies and calla lillies. Derra had prepared thoughtful, personalized gift bags for each guest. The candy buffet ... well all I can say is ... WOW!
Ceremony and cocktail music was provided by the talented Laurie and Barb from Occasional Notes. DJ Corrina Hauser kept the family and kids dancing.
In their ceremony, performed by Weddings by Tamara, they finished with this Irish Blessing:
May you be poor in misfortune, Rich in blessings. May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward. May green be the grass you walk on. May blue be the skies above you, May pure be the joys that surround you, May true be the hearts that love you. And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love, May you know the hand of a friend was always near. And, today, may the Spirit of Love find a dwelling place in your hearts.
