Earthy Decor

A little project I started to make flower balls:

Inspired by vase fillers I saw at Superstore and a few simple materials, I decided to tackle making cheap flower balls. If you have priced out flower balls from a florist with real flowers you will know that flower balls, while gorgeous, are expensive because so many flowers are required to make make a complete spherical masterpiece.

Check out Superstore, Walmart, Dollar Stores, Michaels for some cheap vase fillers. You will also need styrofoam balls from 4" to 6" and toothpicks. Walmart and Michaels had the cheapest prices. For the cream colored flowers heads I found, I wanted to add some color so picked up a makeup blush. The thing to keep in mind is that flowers do not naturally have one color tonne, so the blush was perfect for getting a more natural look than spray paint.

Long rectangular tables or square tables is a very popular look right now. You can add wood and twig balls and many other interesting shaped vase fillers. I used long french bread baskets. Add some candles in tall cylinder vases inbedded in beans. There are so many earthy options to play with and have fun with this wedding decor theme.
