The strategic planning process started in 2005 with a survey identifying issues and a draft financial plan. In 2006 the process continued through interviews with CBEEN members; survey questions; three meetings with the membership in Golden, Kimberley, and Nelson focused on creating objectives; a board meeting to review and refine a draft strategic plan; and a final board review, amendment and approval process through e-mail and telephone communications. It also identifies specific objectives for each of the four goals with a five year plan for meeting these goals. And last but certainly not least is a financial plan.
